Money makes the world go ‘round, so they say. That’s debatable but what isn’t is that money does exert a significant influence on our everyday lives. Jesus knew this and so did St. Paul. What is that influence and how can it be used for God’s purposes? Let’s take a look together.
- In what areas of your life does money have a say? Where do you get anxious about money? Where do you sense pressure from money, or its lack?
- Jesus spoke about money’s power to get between the believer’s heart and God. Paul spoke about the importance of maintaining a right attitude toward money. In what ways do these issues touch your life right now? In which of these areas do you struggle most?

Next step: This week, prayerfully reflect on your giving to the church. God wants his people to give gratefully. How does you giving reflect your gratitude to God for his generosity?
